This contactor, located in the condenser section of your air conditioning system allows the main power to turn on the compressor and the condenser fan motor. Don't let this little part wear or it could result in having to replace a compressor.

Run capacitors, also located in the condenser of the A/C system are like a battery. They store the energy and gives it back to the motor it is attached to at a much higher rate.
